Originally named “Three-Mountain Valley”, the Fanjing Mountain is situated in Tongren, Guizhou Province. The “Fanjing” is derived from “Fan Tian Jing Tu”, and the mountain is the main peak of Wuling Mountains. Together with Wutai Mountain in Shanxi, Putuo Mountain in Zhejiang, Emei Mountain in Sichuan, and Jiuhua Mountain in Anhui, Fanjing Mountain was also crowned as one of five Buddhist Mountains of China. With an altitude of 2,572 meters, it is the highest mountain in Guizhou. The Fanjing Mountain is pretty large and high. As early as the beginning of Ming Dynasty, the mountain was famed as “ancestor of famous mountains” and the notable Buddhist Mountain. And there are also numerous rare animals in the mountain, such as Guizhou golden monkey titled as “only child of the world”.
